Modern Kenjutsu

By Joseph J. Truncale

This manual serves as a primer for the use of the Tanto, Wakazashi and Katana. The manual represents the core of instruction in the Bushi Satori Ryu system of Kenjutsu. Bushi Satori Ryu Kenjutsu does not represent any one specific historical line of Kenjutsu. The Bushi Satori Ryu system, founded by Soke Joseph Truncale is a modern eclectic system. The material draws from numerous sources. The primary systems include Kashima Shinden Jikinshin Kage Ryu, Muso Ryu, and Kukishin Ryu. The Bushi Satori Ryu system of Kenjutsu offers a streamlined, modern interpretation of traditional sword arts which is readily applicable to the use of edged weapons today.
